A disc brake pad, or brake pad for short, is the friction material with steel backing plate that rubs against the disc brake or rotor to slow down or put the vehicle to a complete stop. As pressure is applied on the brake pedal, a pair of disc brake pads on each wheel sandwiches the rotor, applying friction to the surface to slow down the rotation of the wheel which results for the vehicle to reduce speed or stop. Worn out disc brake pads will result to a weaker braking power or even cause damage to the disc brake. Auto Parts Network carries reliable parts for your vehicle at very low prices.
