An engine oil pan is the detachable metal container positioned under the crankcase which stores the engine oil. It provides an operational oil supply to the engine oil pump when the car is in the process of accelerating, braking or cornering. At the bottom of the pan, it has an oil drain plug that can be unplugged to allow a convenient draining of the oil during an oil change procedure. Damaged and corroded oil pans will cause leakage and will result the engine to overheat. Auto Parts Network provides all parts needed in keeping your vehicle in good working condition. Hide
