Reality TV has come a long way since the first season of Survivor, and now it seems just about every occupation, sport, and generally uncomfortable situation has been filmed under the label of ‘reality.’ Whether it’s the famed Jersey Shore, or a lesser known program, most people have a guilty pleasure for some form of reality TV or another, and now auto enthusiasts will have another yet another fetish to choose from with Spike TV’s impending release of Car Lot Cowboy (tentative title) (source).
The new show will feature two automotive retail consultants who will be charged with revitalizing a car less than profitable car dealership. Little has been released about the new show, but we can only imagine the inevitable mishaps, debacles, and personality clashes that have become staples of the reality genre.
I’ll be sure to at least give it a shot just out of pure curiosity, and if only to see the trouble two car salesmen can get into. As for
auto parts, I’ll stick to doing my business online at APN, where low prices don’t depend on your haggling skills, quality is always guaranteed, and you don’t have to worry about any invasive camera crews.
