Eastern Catalytic has designed a new series of catalytic converters that solve the ‘Check Engine Light’ problem for vehicles with tough emissions problems.  Eastern Catalytic’s new ECO II and ECO III series converters have solved this problem with washcoats that feature more precious metals to handle vehicles with ultra low emissions or higher than average emissions, in addition to higher mileage and heavier workload vehicles.  Both are compatible with second-generation on-board (OBD II) diagnostics. Eastern Catalytic has been known as a preeminent producer of catalytic converters and related emission control parts.  They have now received a California Air Resources Board (CARB), exemption on a new series of three-way catalytic converters (TWC), for use as aftermarket replacements on some Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV).  Eastern is the first aftermarket catalytic converter producer to receive a CARB aftermarket exemption for a ULEV and also is the first to bring this product to market.  In addition, Eastern Catalytic is working on additional California vehicle application programs.
