About Auto Shows

As the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show is wrapping up this week—with plenty of other auto shows driving in and out of convention centers throughout the rest of the year—the car enthusiast population has seen a fair share of vehicles styled from mild (not really) to wild (in many cases extremely wild).

Somewhat are the days gone when auto shows was nothing more than an excuse for automakers to pair their latest model with well, a bikini clad model. While there’s still plenty of eye candy (sans bikinis), vehicles decked out from inside out are truly the main focus of these kinds of shows. Many of these outlandish vehicles probably will never make the production line but auto shows like Geneva’s and SEMA’s give automakers an opportunity to really show off—to bring every little boy’s dream car into reality.

From classic cars restored for the future, concept cars changing the idea of driving, and finishes that add just the right amount of uniqueness, the Geneva Auto Show did not lack in originality. In fact, check out some of the highlights from the show here.
