BMW Oxygen Sensor

The BMW Oxygen Sensor was originally called a Lambda Sensor and it monitors the level of oxygen in the exhaust, then relaying that information to the engine control computer, so that the air/fuel mixture can be adjusted accordingly. This ensures your BMW is always running at its most efficient, which in turn helps to reduce emissions. Over time contaminants can build up on the Oxygen Sensor and cause it to slow down in its ability to respond quickly to changes in the air/fuel mixture. In addition, the Oxygen Sensor's output voltage may be lower, which can cause inaccurate readings that in turn cause the air/fuel mixture to be too rich, resulting in decreased fuel efficiency and increased emissions. A failing Oxygen Sensor is one of the greatest sources of higher emissions in both fuel-injected and carbureted vehicles, as well as causing your BMW to run poorly, so it is very important to replace an Oxygen Sensor before it fails completely. Your BMW Oxygen Sensor is made with the same high quality as the rest of your BMW and you can expect it to last for 50,000 miles or more. However, if you do have to replace your Oxygen Sensor at some point make sure you only install equally high quality and durable parts on your BMW, to preserve these qualities. You chose a BMW because of these same features of quality and durability, in addition to its exhilarating performance and classic European good looks. You do not want to compromise these attributes by installing lesser quality parts on your BMW. Choose a manufacturer whose focus is also on high quality and long-lasting reliability, to enhance and maximize these features. In addition, make sure you select a manufacturer who has experience making parts for BMWs specifically, to ensure proper fit and function. Auto Parts Network (APN), has a wide selection of quality BMW Oxygen Sensors. We provide the very best customer service and have knowledgeable experts available to help you choose the right parts for your vehicle. APN wants to earn your business by providing the best service, competitive prices and the widest variety of parts available!
