Midway Industries Centerforce is the foremost producer of high performance clutch and pressure plate systems in the US. Centerforce started in the early 1980s when legendary Hot Rodder and SEMA Hall of Fame member Bill Hays was searching for a solution to existing clutch design shortcomings while designing a competition-rated clutch/pressure plate system that would work with non-asbestos friction facings. Bill's forward-thinking design was soon patented as the Centerforce Weighted Clutch System. The Hays family formed Midway Industries, Inc., in 1982 to satisfy a growing demand for Centerforce products. Designs and patents that came after illustrated Centerforce's dedication to continuing research, new product design and improvement that has made Centerforce the market leader they are today.
The Centerforce brand started from a small speed shop in Midway City, California and since then has gained a reputation for long-lasting reliability in any application where outstanding clutch performance along with ease of use are demanded. Eventually Midway Industries Centerforce division expanded and opened a new 48,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Prescott, Arizona. Today Centerforce has over 1700 non-asbestos clutch/pressure plate applications available for demanding drivers. Midway Industries and Centerforce are proud to still be a three-generation family owned business, headquartered and manufacturing only in Prescott, Arizona. They are dedicated to designing the most forward-thinking products on the market.
