Gibson Performance Exhaust in Corona, California started when owners Ron and Julie Gibson were looking for more performance from their own motorhome and at that time they could not find products that would work for them. So they made a system of their own. Now the Gibson family is known for manufacturing superior quality products at a reasonable price. After innovating ways to improve performance with enhanced muffler designs, the Gibson family started and grew their business into one of the largest and most respected aftermarket performance exhaust companies out there. Gibson Performance is much larger these days and employs a number of engineers and technicians, but they still remain committed to manufacturing reasonably priced exhaust systems that provide more performance gains for the price. Part of this philosophy involves engineering exhaust systems that provide power gains across a wider RPM band, where most drivers want it. High Peak horsepower gains are important, but Gibson knew that more horsepower and torque in the lower RPM range would also be desirable for customers who want more towing power, passing acceleration and better fuel economy. All Gibson products are designed for easy bolt-on installation, giving professional looking results. A variety of different models are available in aluminized or stainless steel and all are designed to get the most performance from your vehicle's engine. Gibson Performance provides a wide variety of coverage for various early and late-model cars, trucks, SUVs, 4x4s, diesels, sand rails, side x sides, boats and more. All of Gibson's street models are emissions legal in all 50 states and will not affect the factory warranty on your vehicle.
Unlike other exhaust manufacturers, Gibson designs its exhaust systems to produce power in the 2,000 to 4,000 rpm range, rather than the 5,000 to 6,000 rpm range which is never used by street vehicles and seldom by high performance vehicles. Turbulence will exist at every point in your exhaust system where the exhaust flow enters or exits. Gibson Performance seeks to eliminate that turbulence at every point that creates it in a factory exhaust system. The Gibson Superflow muffler design lessens turbulence by helping the exhaust gas to flow out of the system. They accomplish this by tuning each muffler specially for each particular vehicle. The "slip fit" method Gibson uses for the joining of all parts of the exhaust system also donates very little turbulence in comparison to other types of joins which can produce a significant amount of backpressure and turbulence at each component join, which will reduce power. Gibson understands that using a pipe that is too large without the proper muffler will lessen low end torque, but boost top end power. Gibson does not design their exhaust systems to flow the most possible, but with the most efficiency. The stock exhaust pipe on your vehicle is small, but even more restriction of air flow comes with the pipe bending methods used in factory exhausts. Gibson mandrel bent pipes ensure the pipe stays open the same size, even at the bends. Not only is the Gibson exhaust pipe larger for more flow, but it is also consistent throughout, for more consistent flow - and consequently, more power.
Gibson Performance sets a high standard of quality and performance for other exhaust manufacturers to live up to. Their dedication to continually creating new exhaust systems and improving existing designs has resulted in a wide range of product coverage, as well as some of the best designed systems out there. The Gibson research and development department uses CAD CAM software to design and develop a constant variety of new products in order to meet the requirements of new vehicles. Along with the Gibson commitment to deliver high quality exhausts at a reasonable price, they are also dedicated to providing superior quality customer service and technical support. New products are designed and tested in Gibson's well-equipped R&D center with multiple quality and performance checks before giving a confirmation to build it. Adequate inventory of exhaust parts in Gibson's warehouse, along with computer-aided inventory control and a fully staffed shipping department ensures you will receive your order in a timely manner.
