Husky Liners began in 1988, with a solution to a problem. Bob Tyler would take his dog on hunting and fishing trips, but his vehicle would end up with mud tracked all over it by the dog. Bob searched for a washable liner to protect the cargo area of his vehicle, but found nothing like that existed at that time. When he decided to make one for himself, Husky Liners began. Winfield Consumer Products (WCP), designed the original custom fit floor and cargo liner in 1988. Winfield is a privately held company located in Strother Field Industrial Park, near Winfield, Kansas, which is about 40 miles southeast of Wichita. Winfield primarily produces aftermarket automotive accessories for light trucks, sport utility vehicles, vans and cars. From the original design of the Husky Liner, WCP has grown to occupy a 197,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility, and has taken their place as the primary source for thermo-plastic floor and cargo liners for the automotive aftermarket. Winfield's product line currently includes Husky Liners branded custom fit floor and cargo liners, heavy duty floor mats, custom molded mud guards, aluminum accessories and a variety of other products that serve the aftermarket. WCP oversees the entire process of manufacturing its products, from product design and tooling to warehouse and distribution, and they are dedicated to preserving high quality, superior customer service and financial strength, as well as the wellbeing of their employees. Winfield is dedicated to keeping the workplace safe for its employees and has not had an accident in the last two out of three years. WCP is very proud of their employees and the job they do, and they realize that their success is only possible because of the dedication of their employees. Winfield Consumer Products' goal is to equal and even surpass customer requirements by this dedication to quality in all they do.
Husky Liners is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service possible. When a customer calls during office hours they will be greeted personally by a Customer Service Representative that has an average of 12 years of experience with the company; not bad, considering the company has only bee around since 1988! If the Customer Service Rep can't help the customer, they could be transferred to the engineer that designed the part, or at least has expert knowledge of that part, for further help. Virtually all orders are shipped within 24 hours. For the last 20 years Husky Liners' combination of superior customer service and high quality products has ensured Husky Liners as the premium choice for vehicle protection.
