Mallory Ignition has been involved with the development and sponsorship of auto racing since its beginning. The first Mallory ignition system won the Pikes Peak Hill Climb on a Stutz in 1926. Racing successes with Mallory Ignition products continued through the 1920s and 1930s. Mallory was especially active at Indianapolis through the 1930s. Mallory's success at Indianapolis continued for many years, including wins in more than 16 consecutive races between 1961 and 1983. In 1958 a Thunderbird running Mallory equipment set a new Century Club record of 152 mph at Daytona Beach. Mallory has also been involved in other types of motorsports over the years as well, including drag racing, sprint car racing and NASCAR. Mallory is currently the ignition system choice for A.R.C.A., which is widely known for its zero in-race failure record. Mallory has a 53-foot racing services trailer from which it provides trackside technical support for its products, as well as providing contingency prizes. They are the only aftermarket ignition industry manufacturer that provides a support vehicle so well-equipped to serve the needs of racers on location. This support vehicle and the involvement of their technicians has allowed Mallory to keep up with all the changes and innovations in the industry.
