Previous to Rhinopac introducing their Premium New Clutch Kits, AMS Automotive supplied nearly every rebuilder and repackager in North America and the Caribbean with new OEM quality manual transmission parts. By 1996 the clutch industry had gone through significant changes. The number of clutch rebuilders had declined, but in addition many other suppliers were cutting costs by reducing services and incorporating "will fit" knock-offs produced in China and India. As a solution to their changing customer base, AMS introduced RhinoPac. RhinoPac combined all the parts that AMS had been providing to rebuilders and repackagers in one convenient kit. There was an immediate demand for this new product. Clutch installation was becoming more complex, and labor rates and installation times were also increasing, resulting in professional technicians that needed more technical support of higher quality, rather than less. Each RhinoPac Kit is made up of superior quality parts including the pressure plate assembly, disc assembly, release bearing, pilot bearing/bushing and alignment tool. The RhinoPac Clutch Kit is protected by a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty and features toll-free technical assistance, as well as detailed technical bulletins and installation instructions. RhinoPac makes over 1000 clutch kits, but in addition they also manufacture a large variety of over 600 premium quality clutch hydraulics, as well as dual-mass flywheels, solid flywheel replacements, new no-core flywheels and heavy-duty/high-performance upgrades.
