From its origins in 1915 as a gearwheel factory that provided gearwheels and transmissions for the Zeppelin airships, ZF Sachs has grown to its present day form as an international group providing driveline and chassis innovations to the automotive industry. Products of ZF Sachs are now designed, manufactured and sold at 25 sites in 14 countries.
Not just words to ZF Sachs, corporate social responsibility is part of the corporate environment. Back in 1913 Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin started a comprehensive social welfare service that is still exemplary today and has shaped the ZF corporate culture. But beyond that, ZF Sachs promotes numerous initiatives and projects involving environmental protection, social policy, education, culture and sport.
ZF Sachs believes environmental protection and company profitability are permanently linked. They accept responsibility for the environment in all their processes and know that society's trust is essential to business success. ZF Sachs encourages input from their employees to facilitate environmental protection and they also include their suppliers in the process of improving their operations to facilitate environmental protection.
