Spectre Performance was founded in 1983 by Amir Rosenbaum, selling NylaBraid, a simple hose covering, from his parent's garage, to make money to buy parts for his 1967 Camaro Convertible. Ultimately he ended up selling the Camaro anyway to keep the company going, but today still spends most of his money on cars; he just has a lot more cars! The company has recently introduced their newest line of performance products under the Speed by Spectre brand. Spectre is the only company building ProFab Muscle Car Cold Air Intakes, designed for muscle cars from the 1950s to the 1980s. They also have a line of Modern Muscle Cold Air Intakes that is always adding new applications and many are legal in California with CARB Exempt status and an EO#. In addition they have an hpR Air Filter line that are the only air filters which are horsepower and CFM rated worldwide. Spectre also makes drop-in replacement and racing air filters that are washable and reusable, and have a lifetime warranty that feature flow and filtration as good or better than any other filter available. Most of Spectre's employees are devoted GearHeads of all makes and models. Spectre's Ontario, California facility has cutting-edge equipment and tools for diagnostic and emissions testing and performance optimizing capabilities, as well as to measure airflow, pressure and velocity in both intake and exhaust modes. All of this equipment comes together to create high-quality parts that deliver outstanding performance. Spectre employees use the products they make every day, so they know you will like the value and benefits of each, and of course the performance! Spectre employees are drivers and racers and you will find them at Bonneville, attempting to set new records.
