Street Scene began in the late 1980's as a Southern California sport truck retail store called Traders Truck Accessories. Traders was based in Whittier, CA and was a very popular retail truck accessory store whose focus was on the sport truck market. They were also into the mail order market as they could not find all the styling products they needed from one supplier and also found it difficult to find parts that truly fit correctly. Street Scene was born from a desire to solve this problem. Many of the original management team that sold the company in 1999 are still with Street Scene today. The Cal-Vu mirror was the first product the new company came out with and they continued innovating over the next few years with chrome and billet accessories for the sport truck industry. In 1998 Street Scene came out with the first Speed Grille, which incorporated an exclusive diamond pattern material and installation clips made it possible for the do-it-yourselfer to install a custom grille with no cutting, drilling or welding. In 1999 Street Scene introduced a complete line of urethane body components and is constantly developing new products. Street Scene is now located in Costa Mesa, California and they are the premier manufacturer of exterior accessories for your car, truck or SUV. Their staff is made up of car and truck devotees, just like you.
