Torque Converters & Components

A torque converter is a fluid-coupling device that also acts as a torque multiplier during initial acceleration. It\'s important to select the correct converter for your specific needs. Too low of a stall speed and the engine might experience stalling when in gear at a stop, hesitation or a bog at full throttle. Too high of a stall and the engine will need to be revved too high just to be able to pull away from stop or cause transmission and possibly engine overheating.
