A clutch slave cylinder is a device that drives the clutch release mechanism or the clutch fork in the hydraulic clutch system. When the clutch pedal is pressed, the clutch master cylinder causes the clutch slave cylinder to extend its rod to make contact with the clutch release fork. The clutch release fork then releases the clutch from the engine to allow the driver to change gears. A faulty clutch slave cylinder may cause leakage problem which may render the clutch system inoperable.
