A CV joint, which stands for constant velocity joint, allows the transfer of torque between two shafts, from the driven shaft to the driving shaft, which are angled at each other. Its design provides smooth torque transfer, eliminating any fluctuations in the rotational speed of the driven shaft. A CV joint is most commonly used in front wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles to allow rotation of the wheel during steering without varying in speed of the front wheels.
