A carburetor, sometimes spelled as carburetter or carburettor which is also simply known as carb, is a device that mixes fuel with air in proper ration depending on the needs of the engine. As fuel enters the carb, the carburetor vaporizes the fuel and mixes it with the air, which will result to a fuel vapor. The fuel vapor is then sent to the combustion chamber where it will be compressed and burned. A malfunctioning carburetor will provide poor fuel and air mixture which will result in decreased fuel efficiency and reduced engine performance.
