It's quick and easy.
A gearbox, also known as transmission, is a collection of gears that provides speed and torque conversions. Since the engine operates at high rotational speeds, it is the task of the gearbox to transform the engine's output so that it can supply high torque during low speed driving and also operate at highway speeds while maintaining the engine within its operating limits. Increased engine RPM in relation to wheel RPM will produce more torque and lesser speed used to accelerate the vehicle from a steady position or while driving on a slope, on the other hand, a decreased engine RPM in relation to wheel RPM will produce lesser torque and higher speed which is used when driving on a straight road. Damaged gearbox will provide stress to the engine. Replace those worn out or damaged gearbox to maintain your vehicle's optimum performance.
