A headlight relay is an electrical device that is used to control the headlights. The relay opens and closes the circuit that activates the headlights depending on how the headlight switch is positioned. When the headlight switch is operated, the relay closes the corresponding circuit that allows electricity to flow, which in turn activates the headlights either in low beam, high beam, or normal illumination.
