A turn signal relay is an electrical device that is used to control the turn signal lights. The relay opens and closes the circuit that activates the turn signal lights depending on the direction the turn signal switch or lever is moved. When the turn signal lever is operated, the relay closes the corresponding circuit that allows electricity to flow, which in turn activates the respective turn signal light.
